We’re proud to report that Wentzel Law recently secured a multi-million dollar trial victory on behalf of our client, PsycHealth, Ltd. against one of Illinois’ largest healthcare insurers, Family Health Network, Inc. (“FHN”).
After business relations between PsycHealth and FHN broke down, PsycHealth retained a team of self-proclaimed “top notch” litigators and brought an action against FHN for breach of contract. FHN promptly filed a counterclaim accusing PsycHealth of breaching the contract and seeking nearly $5 million in damages.
Sensing the case was headed in the wrong direction, PsycHealth fired its former counsel and brought in Wentzel Law to right the ship only a few months before trial.
Following an arduous trial, the three-judge panel awarded PsycHealth every penny it was owed and denied FHN’s counterclaim in its entirety. Final judgment was entered in favor of PsycHealth on February 1, 2018, exactly one year after PsycHealth replaced its former lawyers with Wentzel Law. Shortly thereafter, Wentzel Law collected the full sum due from FHN, with interest.
